The Artists
So Close To My Skin
Pierre Simpson (English adaptation / The Runaway)

one-man show. Pierre has worked extensively with Compagnie Vox Théâtre
( Pinocchio, La Belle et la Bete, 7 Péchés capitaux)
and wishes to bring their creative inspiration to English audiences. As
a bilingual actor, Pierre has also worked with Théâtre la
Catapulte ( L’Hotel, laureate of their
provincial playwriting competition), Théâtre de l’Ile ( Le
Passé antérieur), the National Arts Centre
Readings ( Arthur Rimbaud), A Company of Fools
( Two Noble Kinsmen), Odyssey Theatre ( The

cinematic references, including road movies, film noir,
retro musicals and german expressionism.
Simon Guibord (Music and Sound Design)
With a keen eye for detail and an obesessive ear for
sound, Simon creates careful, and increasingly complex
electronic rythyms, upon which he lays warped, tweaked
digital sounds and strong melodies. Simon has turned his
ear to production work as well. He DJ’s regularly,
and has produced music for short films, and several installations.
Olivier Fairfield (Music and Sound Design)
Multi-instrumentalist Olivier Fairfield is well known the Ottawa
alternative music crowd for his work with groups such as Iceberg and j’envoie. j'envoie is
currently working on refining their explorations of jazz, folk
and post-rock into something subtle, unpredictable, and powerful,
for the release of an EP in 2005. Olivier has also participated
as a live musician for many innovative theatre performances such
as Les 7 Péchés Capitaux with
Compagnie Vox Theatre and Poésie électrique by
Marc Lemyre.
